Most
prominent among the many works of art is Red Corral’s
walking
labyrinth; 40 feet in diameter, faithfully reconstructed
from medieval design, it provides the venue for meditation
and introspection on a proven path one-third of a mile
in length.
From
the main lodge, up the sloping green lawn, atop the
high bluff overlooking a creek, the evening finds
those taking the labyrinth’s contemplative journey.
To low refrains of soothing music, among oaks trees
reflecting the soft dance of torch flames, Bobbie
Matthews and Red Corral owner, Colleen Reeves, trained
and certified by Lauren Artress of the Grace Cathedral
in San Francisco, guide their guests in the application
of the labyrinth pertinent to individual endeavors.
